EEP 2, MGM Tutoring Partnership, will engage pre-service teachers in small group virtual tutoring with community partner MGM Hotel and Casino and employee families. Students will learn strategies for student, family, and community engagement.

Overview: Participants will work with partners through a College of Education and MGM partnership for a 20-hour EPP 2 experience supporting the diverse learning and social needs of local Las Vegas students and families along with 5 hours of professional development.

EPP 2 NITEP Fellows Timeline & Activities:  In October participants will be onboarded and oriented to the program. In November and December participants will participate in 6 hours of small group tutoring to MGM families. In December, we will evaluate the experience and adjust as needed to best serve student participants. In the spring participants will engage in 14 more hours of tutoring. 

Year 2 Culminating Experience: Prepare initial, monthly, and a final learning report about their learners as well as present on their own learning.
