Overview of Engagement Pathways

The Engagement Pathways (EPs) are focused on providing hands on experiences with students, teachers, and community to ensure the NITEP fellows are prepared for the realities of 21st century educational delivery for diverse populations, particularly southern Nevada. Each participant will engage in two EPs throughout the year: an Educational Engagement Pathway (EEP) and a Community Engagement Pathway (CEP); both are designed to complement what a traditional teacher preparation candidate receives, focusing on unique enhancements. NITEP fellows also have the opportunity to engage in faculty mentorship, research, and professional development such as a 3-week practicum experience teaching in Chile.
